PEEL AWAY 8 ok on metal.
Step 1

Trial Patch – ALWAYS PERFORM A TRIAL PATCH BEFORE EVERY JOB! An evaluation should always be completed before undertaking any paint removal project. All surfaces vary and may have many different layers of paint. 350g Kits are available from our store online or authorised distributors around Australia. Please refer to our guides on how to perform a trial patch.

Step 2

Apply Peel Away ® paste 3-4mm thick (recommended rate) to the painted surface evenly. Then cover the Peel Away® with the supplied special laminated Peel Away® paper, printed side facing out. Use masking tape to tape down all sections and edges as best you can to create an air-tight seal, which allows Peel Away to work at maximum strength. Most surfaces you will need to leave on for 72 hours. In some cases with very old or heritage listed buildings it may require 7 days for optimal results.

GIVE IT 3 DAYS

Step 3

Remove the Peel Away® from the surface by gently sliding a spatula/scraper behind the paper and ease the paint, paste and paper off in one piece. Remove in small sections and scrape off loose debris and residue. Wash the surface thoroughly with water, nylon brush and sponge.

FRONT VERANDAH

Verandah
Severe wet rot decay is present to the front verandah roof pitching beam. Posts are also decay. Decayed timbers need replacement by a carpenter to assure this verandah remains secure.
Also the roof frame wailing plate is loose to the brick work. This is causing distortion to the structure and requires securing to the brick wall.

Parapet walls
Rear left common parapet wall bricks are loose above the roof line. This requires securing by a bricklayer to assure the wall section remains secure.

HAYMES paints

Indian Red is rich, opaque and deep red in colour. Its name derives from the red laterite soil found in India, where it was first identified by the Scottish scientist Francis Buchanan-Hamilton, and where iron ores exist in abundance. It can vary in tone, but in India it is a warm, dark, earthy-red, with a tendency towards blue. Variations include Venetian Red, English Red and Kobe Red; the latter a dark tone of Indian Red.

The use of earth colours such as Indian Red date back to prehistoric times. Due to its resistance to light the use of Indian Red has been wide, from old masters’ paintings to the present day. It has been a popular colour in decorative and industrial paint applications due to its high permanence and anticorrosive corrosive qualities when mixed as an epoxy resin.
